Elaine Anderton Christiansen, 87, of Richfield, passed away at the Orem Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Orem, Utah, April 19, 2008 from Causes Incident to Age.
She was born August 7, 1920 in Elsinore, Utah to Don S. and Hazel Levie Anderton. She married Waid Staker Christiansen on July 3, 1939 in Richfield, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple. They made their first home in Pioche, Nevada, and later moved to Las Vegas. Waid passed away June 28, 1980. In 1986 she moved to Richfield, Utah, where she resided for 13 years. Due to failing health, she has spent the last nine years at Orem Nursing and Rehabilitation Center where she could be closer to her daughter. Elaine enjoyed serving in the Primary and Young Women's organizations of the LDS Church. She was also a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, Camp Sevier. She had a wonderful sense of humor. She enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends and treasured their visits. She loved the outdoors -- traveling and camping. Her hobbies were sewing, crafts, poetry, embroidery work and cooking.
She is survived by daughter, Sharon Mather, Pleasant Grove; sisters, Mae Nebeker, Richfield; and Betty Baker, Downey, California; five grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents; son, Gary Lee Christiansen; brothers, Don S. Jr., Thomas, Arthur and Robert; sisters, Shirley Mushegan and Donna Rae.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 26, 2008 at 1 p.m. in the Magleby Mortuary Chapel, 50 S. 100 W., Richfield. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary on Sat. from 11:30 to 12:30.
Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery.

Don S. Anderton
ELSINORE -- Don Smith Anderton, 89, Elsinore, died June 11, 1987, at his home.
He was born May 14, 1899, Monroe, to John and Estella Barney Anderton. He married Hazel Fern Levie, Nov. 14, 1917, Richfield; later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple.
He was a farmer.
Survivors: wife, Elsinore; sons, daughters, Mrs. Mae Nebeker, Mrs. Elaine Christiansen, both Richfield; Mrs. Shirley Mushegan, Poco Rivera, Calif.; Mrs. Betty Baker, Downey, Calif.; Don S., Boise, Ida.; Arthur Dale, Elsinore; 19 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Abraham, Richfield.
Funeral services were Monday in the Elsinore Second LDS Ward chapel with Bishop Brent White, officiating. Don Anderton offered the family prayer; Elizabeth Staples played prelude and postlude music and Raymond Jensen gave the invocation. Tribute was by Dona Hansen and speaker was Richard McDonald, with remarks by Bishop White.
Music included vocal duet by Vickie Barney and Monica Christensen; male quartet composed of Raymond Jensen, Kevin Moore. Tim Hopper and Jeff Nielson and piano solo, by Elizabeth Staples. Lynn Hansen offered the benediction.
Interment was in the Monroe City Cemetery by Neal S. Magleby and Sons Mortuary, Richfield, where Glayde Mather offered the Don S. Anderton dedicatory prayer. Pallbearers were John Baker, Ferral Anderton, Steve Anderton, Louis K. Anderton, Gayle Anderton, Russel Anderton, Paul Dean LeFevre, Hart Nebeker, David Baker, Jerry Baker, Lane Nebeker, Blake LeFevre.

Don S. Anderton Jr.
BOISE, Ida.--Don S. Anderton Jr., 77, Boise, Ida., passed away at his home March 2, 1999, from an extended illness.
Don was born to Don S. and Hazel Levie Anderton Dec. 25, 1921, in Elsinore where he spent his childhood and youth. He left to work in Nevada where he met and married Rueanna Reiter March 21, 1942, in Pioche, Nev.; later solemnized in the Idaho falls (sic) LDS Temple. She died Sept. 29, 1994.
Don served in the Marine Corps during World War II. After he returned they moved to Boise where Don worked for and then owned Riverside Automotive. He retired in 1987.
He was a member of the 21st Ward in the LDS Church, where he served faithfully.
He is survived by his daughter, R. Valain Farrens, and son Derrell Don, both Boise, Ida.; mother. Hazel Anderton; sisters, Mae Nebeker and Elaine Christiansen, all Richfield; Shirley Mushegan, Pico Rivera, Calif.; Betty Baker, Downey, Calif.; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruey; father, Don; brothers, Thomas, Arthur and (infant) Robert; infant sister, Donna Rae.
Funeral services were March 5 in the North Maple Grove Road LDS Ward chapel. Burial was in Terrace Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Relyea Funeral Chapel, Boise, Ida.
