The funeral for Philip B. Craig, 88, of 308 Stone St., formerly of Potsdam and Ogdensburg, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cleveland Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Wyland officiating. Spring burial will be in Bayside Cemetery, Potsdam.
Mr. Craig died Wednesday morning at his home.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
He worked for Pan American Airways during World War II and later for Craig Chevrolet, Potsdam, retiring in the mid-1970s. He spent 26 summers at Chippewa Bay and winters in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
He was a founding member of the Potsdam Rescue Squad, and a member of the Potsdam and Ogdensburg Rotary clubs and the Chippewa Bay Yacht Club.
Born March 31, 1914, in Ogdensburg, son of Howard and Gladys Shepard Craig, he graduated from Raymond Riordan Preparatory School, Poughkeepsie, and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy.
A marriage to Jo-Ella Zabriskie ended in divorce. He married Eleanor Wright in 1968. She died in 1975. He married Norma Forney. She died in 1987.
Surviving are a son and his wife, Howard G. and Donna, Baldwinsville; three daughters and their husbands, Margo A. and James V. Ragano, Valencia, Calif., Chrystine and Drew Shepard, Freeville, and Kimberlee and Thomas Forbes, Watertown; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
