Jessie Leora Ball
On June 13, 1990, Jessie Leora Ball, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, entered into her eternal rest. She was born In Wellesville, N.Y., September 5, 1897, one of six children of George and Ida Sackett, moving to Washington State in 1917 to be with her parents and family who had built a home on McKinley Hill In Tacoma. On September 25, 1919, She (sic) was married to Harry Elmer Ball, also of Tacoma. Jessie was preceded in death by her husband and by a daughter, Mary Ellen.
She is survived by 115 descendants which include: a son, Harry Ball, Fife; daughters, Mrs. Ernest (Thelma) Browning, Olive Branch, Ill., Frances Richards, Fife, Mrs. Ed (Lois) Stark, Puyallup, Delores Divelbiss, Eatonville, Dorothy Calvert, Tacoma; 30 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
During her life in Washington, she lived in Tacoma, Fife, Puyallup, Pacific City and Eatonville and was a member of the Milton Assembly of God Church.
Services 2 p.m/ Saturday, Mt. View Valley Chapel and following she will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Mt. View Memorial Park. Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home, 584-0252.
